By Air:We are about 40 minutes from George and transport to and from the airport can be arranged.
By Car:Take the N2 out of Cape Town through some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. We are about 40 minutes north from George, on the N2. Do not turn off to George but keep on the N2.
You will pass through Wilderness - paying special attention to the 60kmh speed limit down the hill. Do not let this spoil your view of the beach though, it is fabulous and you might see a whale!
Continue through great countryside, passing lakes on either side of the road as you approach Sedgefield. After a few kilometres, you pass the Rheenendaal turnoff to the right. Continue down the hill to Knysna Lagoon. Before the bridge take the immediate turning left, signposted to Brenton and Belvidere. The road bends sharp right and goes back under the causeway (White Bridge).
Follow the road up past 'Crabs Creek' and the turning to Belvidere on the left. Slow down as you approach the train crossing (no gates). Continue up the hill with a couple of sharp bends. Look on your left and you will see the lagoon below you. There is a lookout point further on where you may want to stop to enjoy the view (from here you can see Knysna and the mountains behind).
Proceed on to the top of the hill and Buffalo Bay appears on the right, again fabulous! As you now proceed down the hill you will pass a sign on the left for Brenton-on-Lake, keep going. Approach the speed humps with caution, as the road winds down again.
Follow the tight right-hand bend in the road (You will be in the sea otherwise). Continue over two further speed bumps. Take the second turning on the right into Agapanthus Street. Horizons is about 200 yards down on the left-hand side at the third speed bump.
DIRECTIONS TO HORIZONS FROM PORT ELIZABETH: Travel on the N2 THROUGH Knysna towards George. Immediately AFTER crossing the causeway, take a right turn following the signs to Brenton & Belvidere.Follow directions as above.
