Lounge overlooking the Ocean
Overlooking the blue Indian Ocean, only 20 minute drive from Knysna is Brenton Bay, Brenton-on-Sea. It boasts 7 kilometres of wonderful sandy beach, popular for sun bathing and swimming, and was voted one of the top-twenty beaches in South Africa by Getaway Magazine. and has been recently awarded the Internationally recognised Blue Flag status.

'Horizons' is situated five minutes walk from the beach and directly overlooks Brenton Bay and to Buffalo Bay, a World Heritage Coastline on the Garden Route. It is also a perfect spot for whale and dolphin watching.
The luxury self-catering accommodation includes a large living room overlooking the bay, plus three bright bedrooms (two with en-suite showers) and family bathroom, with two of the bedrooms having  views to the sea, and direct access to the deck and use of the solar heated swimming pool.  Fourth bedroom with en-suite shower available on request.

The beechwood and granite kitchen includes a dishwasher and combination microwave and satellite TV.  There is a large brai (BBQ) entertaining area.

Kynsna ('YouTube' Video) and the Garden Route offers golf with easy access to 10 magnificent golf courses on the Garden Route, including Pezula, tennis, canoeing, mountain-biking, hiking, yachting, fishing, water-skiing and wakeboarding, plus beautiful scenery and sightseeing.

For the gourmet Knysna provides the best oysters in the country and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy good seafood.

Visit the Lakes of Sedgefield and Wilderness, sense the solitude of the Tsitsikamma forest or admire the Noetzie castles. If you are nature wise, this is the home of the rare Brenton blue butterfly. There are also a number of breeding pairs of black oystercatchers resident.

Of course, if you're really feeling active, you can walk the length of the three-kilometre-long Brenton on Sea beach.

Afterward, return for a dip in the pool, or sit on the deck and sip a 'sundowner' and watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean. It's truly 'a place where the Sea meets the Sky'.
